Cyberpunk 2077 – ESDF Keybindings

Who would’ve thunk that when it was released, Cyberpunk 2077 would be without bugs.

One major annoying bug is that some key bindings appear to be hard-wired and cannot be changed. For those that have evolved from WASD, binding everything “one key to the right” (namely: to ESDF), is impossible.

Until this bug is fixed, use the attached inputUserMappings.xml file. It changes WASD to ESDF, QE to WR and binds the “Use” key to “T”.

Copy that file to whereever Cyberpunk 2077 is installed. In this example, it’s located in `G:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077`. So the file needs to go to `G:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config\`. Make a copy of the existing (b0rken) XML file and copy the new one to this folder.

Start up the game, go to Settings > Key Bindings and reset everything to “Default” thus applying changes from the XML.

Download: inputUserMappings.xml.zip.

My apologies: for “security” reasons (so says WordPress), the file is zipped.

Hint: this modified keybindings file might not survive an update. It might be overwritten when updating Cyberpunk 2077. If that update doesn’t fix the issue, repeat above steps.
